From time to time I get asked how to turn off email or Data Services while someone is traveling international. Some BlackBerry users do this to avoid international data roaming charges, which can get a little on the expensive side. Since most carriers are moving to not allowing you to suspend Data ( Email) services on most PDA’s, and it will cost you an additional $20.00 to $30.00 to add international data roaming.  I decided to post this article on turning the feature off.  Ok, lets get to it..

1. Select the Manage Connection icon on your BlackBerry.

4. Select Data Service and it will give you several options. Choose either off option.
