It looks like AOL has jumped in on the mobile streaming game by launching a free music app for the BlackBerry. As far as I can tell, it works very much like the desktop computer version, and only allows 6 skips. Here what App World says about the product.

“ The AOL Radio application streams your favorite AOL & CBS RADIO stations directly to your BlackBerry® Bold™. Whether it’s Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Hip-Hop, Oldies, Country, World, Latino, News, or Sports, AOL Radio guarantees you’ll be able to connect directly with all your favorite music, news and information no matter where you are.

With 30 genres and over 400 professionally-programmed stations at your fingertips, you can quickly favorite stations, share stations with friends, and skip songs you don’t like.”

The app does require 4.6 BlackBerry OS or higher, but App World states its supports the BlackBerry 8900 only on AT&T. That means no 83oo, 8800, or 8100 series BlackBerry devices. I’m using a Storm on Verizon, so I also can’t try it.  But if you have a Bold, Tour, 8520, or 8900,  AOL Radio is currently available in The BlackBerry App world. Try it out, and let us know how you like it.
