Wow! Talk about coming out swinging.  The carrier wars have been a little quiet lately, but as the holiday season quickly approaches and as AT&T’s exclusive contract on the IPhone may be coming to an end, Verizon has slowly begun pouring on the heat to attract its GSM nemsis’ customer base.

Verizon first attack was with the relaunch of their now infamous Buy 1 get 1 Free BlackBerry offer.  Next, the Internet is a buzz about the new Storm 2 and the possible launch of two additional BlackBerry devices on Verizon’s 3G network.  Finally, Verizon blatantly goes after AT&T in all new advertsiing campain touting that they have 5 times more 3G coverage than AT&T.  Now if you’re a BlackBerry user, it really doesn’t play that big of a role unless you download alot of apps or use the broswer alot. A BlackBerry usually runs great in and out of 3G, with battery life mainly being the diffrence and its core function being a messaging device.  If you are an IPhone user, well not so good, and I will leave it at that.

So will Verizon get it’s own verison of the IPhone?  Who knows, but the boys from Jersey “Bedminster, New Jersey,” don’t usally pick a fight unless they have some brass knuckles in their back pocket.

So what do you think? Do you think Verizon will be getting the IPhone, and would you give up your BlackBerry?  Drop a comment and let us know.
