With Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season quickly approaching, many of us will be taking pictures or would like to take our favorate music with us on the road for a moment escape. Today, the folks over at RIM made it a little easier to take your favorite music with you, and transfer some of those holiday memories between your computer and your BlackBerry with the newly upgraded BlackBerry Media Sync v3.0 software.
If you are not familiar with BlackBerry Media Sync,  Media Sync generally comes as a install option on your BlackBerry Desktop Managers CD, or you could download it as a stand alone application. BlackBerry Media Sync was developed by RIM to assist BlackBerry users with installing their favorite music playlists from iTunes® & Windows Media® Player music library. Now, not only can you easily sync your music playlists and album art, but now you can quickly transfer photos to and from your BlackBerry® smartphone. Let’s take a look at the new features and what you can do with the new version.

BlackBerry Media Sync v3.0 allows you to your listen to your favorite music on your BlackBerry smartphone. Put together a playlist for the gym or download a mix of songs to get you through the day. With BlackBerry Media Sync, you can: Sync playlist updates from your desktop to your smartphone, choose a playlist or get a random selection of songs, and control how much of your music is transferred

 

 

 

 

 

 

What’s new: Photo Syncmediasync2

Rim has changed the layout of BlackBerry Media Sync from other previous versions. There are now tabs for accessing Music and Photo functionality. There is also now a preview pane that allows for you to view the contents of a playlist, as well as the pictures to be synced. There is a version of music sync available for both PC & Mac computers, but photo sync is currently only available for the PC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BlackBerry Smartphone to PC Import

So you have a nice collection of all my pictures stored on your home PC. The BlackBerry smartphone to PC Import functionality will allow you to copy all the photos that you have taken with your BlackBerry to your PC.  You can set the software so that every time you connect to your computer via the USB cable, BlackBerry Media Sync will let you know if there are new pictures to import.  If you have ever lost pictures on your phone or BlackBerry, You will find this a perfect way to backup them up and a great option if you would like to editing your pictures on the PC.

Allows you to sync your favorate photo collection from the PC to your BlackBerry. This way you will always have them with you to show some of life best moments.

Here is a good example of using BlackBerry Media Sysc. During the holidays you have taken some really great pictures with a digital camara. With BlackBerry Media Sync, you will be able to put your entire colletion of holiday photos on your BlackBerry. To save space on your MicroSD card, BlackBerry MediaSync will compressed picture so that not only can the be viewed optimally on your BlackBerry, but will save room for more on your MicroSD card. Now, the compression feature is the default option. However if you prefer to have the raw images transferred, you can always change the setting in the Options menu.
