UPS is really sticking to it’s motto “What can brown do for you?” by offering the UPS Mobile™ App for BlackBerry®. There is nothing worse than if your a business owner, or you happen to buy a lot of products online, waiting for that big brown truck to show up. I sure there are some of you who have had a last minute package, needed to make a label on the fly, and was not near your computer. Well UPS understands this and produced it’s mobile BlackBerry app to allow users to track and create shipments directly from their BlackBerry Smartphone.

Here are some of the thing you can do with the new UPS app:

Track
See recent tracks and assign shipment nicknames when you log-in with your My UPS ID. Or track by number, no log-in required.

Ship
Log-in with your My UPS ID to access your address book, payment info, and other preferences from ups.com. Email label, then print.

Locations
Find the nearest UPS service locations, and get directions.

Quote
Estimate shipment costs and delivery times, and select the right UPS service for you.

You can track packages without UPS account, but for a history of tracked shipments and the ability to rename tracking numbers to make them easier to track may require a UPS account.

Note: Shipping and advanced tracking features require log-in with a My UPS ID. Visit ups.com/gettingstarted to request your ID. The UPS Mobile App supports BlackBerry platforms 4.6 and higher as on the BlackBerry Storm™, BlackBerry Bold™, BlackBerry Tour™ and the BlackBerry Curve™ 8900. The 8520 & 8530 are most likely supported also. If your BlackBerry is not support you can still go to UPS’s mobile site at m.ups.com
