BlackBerry FAQ: How to set your BlackBerry to Airplane Mode.

You’re on a flight and you want to read a few emails, listen to some music, or even watch a movie on your BlackBerry Smartphone. The pilot announces “You may now use your PDA in airplane mode.”, but your not sure how to do this. Today we will be covering “ How to set your BlackBerry to airplane mode.”

Go to Manage Connections >

Manage Connection-20100115-014231-731

Look for Mobile Network >

Mobile Network-20100115-014333-387

Uncheck Mobile Network >

uncheck Mobile Network-20100115-014423-372

The wireless network is now disabled. You should consider doing this before your turn your BlackBerry off before liftoff. This way when you turn your BlackBerry on during flight, it will already be in airplane mode. Don’t forget to enable the wireless network by rechecking the Mobile Network setting once you land, or you will not receive emails or phone calls.
