In case you missed it, RIM (Research in Motion) will be doing scheduled maintenance on the BlackBerry BIS data network between the hours of 2AM and 6AM EST on Sunday March 28th. The service outage will effect all BlackBerry users in North America. The maintenance should only last for about 4 hours while RIM updates the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) network.

If you have not started receiving emails and other services by 7AM, simply try doing a battery pull, let your BlackBerry powers cycle, and then re-register with the network. Then try sending a test email to yourself. If you would like to read about what’s being upgraded, click here to read our post with all the details.
