BlackBerry vs. IPhone: A visual look at who was top Smartphone in 2009.
Gigaom posted this interesting view of Blackberry vs. iPhone by the numbers in 2009. 2009 was a strong year for both mobile devices and their makers, with BlackBerry still able to lead iPhone in just about every category except for the number of available apps. Now to be fair, BlackBerry smartphone is carried by every major, and most pre-paid carriers in the US. So the iPhone is hindered by the fact it is only available from one U.S. wireless carrier. Even with that said, BlackBerry did lose more users to the Apple OS platform than vice-versa, but with a slew of new devices on the horizon, and the possible launch of what been called the sexy new BlackBerry OS 6.0. These numbers may look quite a bit different by the end of 2010.
Take a look at the numbers and let us know if you agree with Gigaom’s findings.
