Minor update for BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac. Download the lastest version.

BlackBerry Desktop for Mac
It’s really nice to see RIM continue to reach out to MAC users with the love. Surprisingly not a lot of BlackBerry users know there is an official BlackBerry Desktop Manager for the Mac. I’ve even heard an wireless carrier rep say that BlackBerry does not sync with the Mac and that the customer would need to get an iPhone. Well Mac users not only is there a Mac desktop manager for you, but RIM has even done a minor update.
BlackBerry® Desktop Software for Mac version 1.0.3 provides support for the Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese languages, and includes a variety of fixes and improvements to the organizer data and music synchronization. If you are already using version 1.0.3, this update provides an important fix to the product. More details are available in the release notes at http://docs.blackberry.com.
If you’re already using desktop manager, then this is just a minor update to fix a bug or two. If you’re new to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac, we have provided a short feature list and the link to download after the jump.
BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac:
- Sync your iTunes playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks
- Add/Remove applications
- Update your device when new software becomes available
- Backup and restore your device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups and optional encryption (security is #1 as always…)
- Manage multiple devices

RIM is also working on its official podcasting app that we are currently beta testing, so you could see iTunes podcasting sync coming in the near future. If you’re an existing BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac user, just launch desktop manager and it should prompt you to update. You can also download the latest version at the link below.
