Google Maps for BlackBerry updated to V4.2.0. Adds new Search results & Sharing option.
Google maps for BlackBerry is in the top 5 BlackBerry apps that all BlackBerry users should have on their device. Google has updated the popular BlackBerry app to v4.2.0 and added a few nice little enhancements.
Search and Share
Google has redesigned the way you see search results when you are looking for a place or business. They have added a new pictures feature and business rating. Once you’ve found what your looking for, you can just select the listing to see a simplified results page, that includes easy-access buttons for directions, calling, etc.  If you select a section, such as “Reviews,†to see more, a new “share this place†option lets you send information about the place, such as location address or phone number, by email or text message. In addition to specific places like restaurants, you can also share any location you select on the map, including your current location.
Biking directions
With so many users using biking activities as a great way of staying in shape, Google has also introduced, in this latest update, a biking travel option to help you find your optimal bicycling route. When getting directions in Google Maps, just choose to travel by bicycle to get a bicycling route in the U.S. You can also add layers to see the Bicycling layer on the map which shows dedicated bike-only trails (dark green), roads with bike lanes (light green), or roads that are good for biking but lack a dedicated lane (dashed green). You can always turn on this layer from the layers menu to devise your own route.
