BlackBerry Help: How to upgrade your BlackBerry’s Operating System Over The Air (OTA).

There are several ways to upgrade your BlackBerry’s Operating System. One way is to do what is called an OTA or Over the Air download. This method generally allows you download the latest update for your blackberry operating system directly to your device, without the need of a computer. This is carrier specific and does require a BlackBerry data plan. This process really should be used as a last resort if you are having issues doing the upgrade using a computer. Keep in mind that this process doesn’t offer a way to back up your information if something goes wrong, like using your desktop computer to do the process.
