Facebook Chat Upgrade Coming Soon To BlackBerry Smartphones.

As you can see from the picture above, Facebook has already added a chat option for the Facebook Blackberry app. Now just recently, a few select members of the BlackBerry Beta Test Zone were asked to download the enhanced Facebook for BlackBerry v1.8 . According to the beta testers, v1.8 is much faster than v1.7, but Facebook chat is not offered in that update. Most of us BlackBerry writers are in agreement that it will most likely be available in v2.0 which will probably come with BlackBerry 6 OS in the coming months.

If you can’t wait until the BlackBerry app supports Facebook Chat, you can download a third-party IM client such as beejive, Nimbuzz, or IM+Talk to get your fix for the meantime.
