Video of unreleased BlackBerry 9780 3G Running BlackBerry 6 w/ T-Mobile Logo.
Well this is interesting… Lately there have been rumors of a new version of the BlackBerry 9700, called the BlackBerry 9780, circulating around the web. Not only is this device real, but we have pictures and video of this latest BlackBerry running BlackBerry OS 6 with a T-Mobile logo. What makes this significant is that this is the first sighting of a NON TOUCHSCREEN Blackberry device running BlackBerry OS 6.0. So far these are the only details we have on the new device.
- 512 Mb of flash memory with support for up to a 32GB Micro SD Card.
- 5 megapixel camera with Flash / Video Light ( Thanks goodness)
- 3G – ( we are hoping for HSPA 7.2 or even HSPA+ support) 7 – 21 Mb downloads speeds
If you are already a BlackBerry user, there is nothing really different in the design, which is actually a good thing since it’s design is what keeps it as a top seller. As far as BlackBerry OS 6 goes, there are a couple of things to take note of in this video. One of which is that Facebook is integrated into the BlackBerry OS. Also, BlackBerry devices that are non touch screen have just as fast and smooth of an experience in OS 6 as those with touch screens. Also, RIM is making great strides in developing the BlackBerry web browser. Keep in mind the browser shown in the video is still in beta and not ready for release, but you can still see the vast improvement in the browser’s capabilities.
Currently there is no release date for the 9780 or even confirmation that T-Mobile will be carrying this device. But we would love to hear your thoughts anyway.
