BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 Is Now Available for Download; Offers New App and Media Management.
It maybe a little rainy today here is South Florida, but if you are a BlackBerry user RIM has just delivered you a little sunshine. BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 has moved out of beta and is available for download to one and all. RIM has finally released BlackBerry Desktop Manger 6 with a whole new look and interface.
Here’s what’s new:
- An improved, simpler design for the software
- Added BlackBerry Media Sync features to import and synchronize your media files (music, pictures, and videos) from one location
- Option to synchronize your music by artist and genre
- Support for the BlackBerry® Torch 9800 Smartphone and the BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone
- If your device is using BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, you can use the Wi-Fi music sync feature to download or remove songs from your computer’s music collection using your device when you connect to your home’s Wi-Fi network

I recommended that even if you feel you don’t need this update, you really should download this latest release anyway. This is a great chance for you to backup all of your important information, and move some of your pictures that you don’t want to lose, from your BlackBerry to your computer. This would also be a good opportunity to check if there is a new OS update for your BlackBerry. RIM releases software updates all the time, and even if you’ve just purchased your BlackBerry it may not have the latest OS update.

Looks like the organizer Sync only works with Exchange my Office 07 stand alone wont sync. It doesnt find the profie in the sync setup for some reason.

It's the other way around, If you were on exchange then DM would try to block you from syncing. Make sure you do not have wireless sync checked in options, also be sure you did not select setup email.
